Schlafen durch die Nacht!!!

Today Clara is 5 months old! I can't believe that she is already so big and it was only 5 months ago at exactly this time of day I was checking into the hospital to deliver her. How appropriate that she just slept through the night for the first time for the PAST TWO NIGHTS!! After she did it the first time, I was excited but thought it might be just a fluke and wondered if it would ever happen again. But last night she slept even longer. We put her to bed around 9-ish last night and I awoke at 7:45 am this morning without having heard a peep all night. I went into her room to check on her and there she was, wide awake, laying on her back with arms outstreched staring up at her mobile. When I smiled at her and told her good morning, she just smiled with a big open-mouthed grin, then immediately after made her "I'm hungry" whimper. Mommy is well-rested and happy today!



These are just some goofy pictures I made on yearbookyourself.com. The ones of Chris and Clara made me laugh...I am still laughing!! You don't get to pick the body that you fit the picture of your face into, so the outcome is a complete surprise. hee hee

Hey, Mom:

While you were sleeping through the night the past two nights, what do you think I was doing, huh? Do you know what it's like to have to entertain yourself at night when you're too young to play solitaire and your parents failed to install a DVD player and TV in your bedroom for such occasions (they have one in their own room, mind you)? I just hope our new house has better baby accommodations. Meanwhile, could you leave a deck of cards in my crib?
